I don't know for the strap's size

as I couldn't see the watch already. In fact, the aim was to provide a thinner Tourbillon as the square RM017 provided already, but in the Tonneau-shaped case. The RM67-01 had already opened the way and it was logical to go that way for RM. However, I don

Origins

In fact Colton it is the RM017 Extra Flat Tourbillon's movement that seems to be put in the RM067's case style (thinner tonneau shape, white ceramic). It is a new reference but I don't have the info yet, certainly later. Maybe Ken will have some if he fin

RM017-01?

Hi Ken, Thank you for the live pics, looks like an exceptional booth! Can you give more details on the 17-01? I thought the RM017 was the extra thin tourbillon in rectangular case? This looks like a hybrid of the 038, the 021 and the 014 Perini. Is this a

A difficult exercize!

With modern style brands, it is important to try to build a "classic" DNA that will not make the watches out of fashion. usually the more it is original, different from what we are used to seeing, the easier it fades away. I think that RM is on the right

A renewed look at the RM017: Richard Mille’s Ultra-Thin Tourbillon.

[The more recent RM017 with renewed design, aesthetics, and three-dimensional form to the movement. Note the use of different finishing, beveling, and bridgework that illuminates’ the three-dimensional aspect to the movement and gives it depth. A triumph

Good eyes - yes the RM017 was interesting. I saw the RM017

when it was first released and then again just recently after Richard removed the carbon nanofibre baseplate and replaced it with titanium. The reason being that there was so little 'depth' to the movement in such a thin case. The result is that the 017 n

SIHH 2010: Richard Mille

Along with Greubel Forsey, Richard Mille was one of the two new exhibitors at SIHH this year. Audemars Piguet is a long time SIHH exhibitor, being there since 1999. RM is connected to AP via the latter’s minority stake in RM, as well as the fact that all

I asked Giulio Papi about the development of the RM017..

Giulio said he had to try 3 different approaches to get the original tourbillon movement to fit inside the thinner case and not lose any of the power reserve! It was quite a challenge for him. I think it's an amazing feat. I would love to get my hands on

RM017

This year’s new watch at SIHH. I am sucker for a square watch, and certainly one that contains a tourbillon, so right from the outset, this watch ticks all the right boxes. It is smart, elegant, yet weighs next to nothing as the case was made from titaniu
