Lange 101.031, 1997 press release and 35mm slides

Hi all, first post here and greetings from Singapore! I acquired a first generation Lange 1 (101.031) sometime last year when it popped up at a local second-hand dealer at a very attractive price. Back then, I was eyeing early Lange 1 references with inte

I was surprised by the 110.037 as well.

I had never heard of it until about 3 years ago, when a friend alerted me to one. Lange would not of course confirm how many they made beyond saying "less than 10." Re the 110.030, sometimes you'll find nontraditional combinations in older Langes, such as

110.037?

I am currently looking at pulling the trigger on a 110.030, and am intrigued by your piece with the blue hands - could you share any info on how that came about? Also, I didn't realise they did a platinum version ref 110.037 - would love to know any infor

You're totally correct!

All the pics of the MOP guilloche dial that I posted previously were of a 110.030. This one is a 110.037. There's room for both I too am really, really impressed by the Shinola bracelet quality. I bought an extra because they're so cheap, and I knew I'd f

You and nice2guy have definitely pushed me over the edge! Will place it on mine and report back with pics. Must say I am quite impressed by the quality of the Shinola bracelet and the team at the Tribeca store are quite fun and extremely helpful - well wo

Excellent! That was the watch that led me to buy my first Lange.

20-21 years ago, I was captivated by photos of the 110.030 -- same watch as yours but with the guilloche dial. Your watch (the 110.029) came out slightly earlier, and the 110.030 was initially available only in Asia, through Sincere. I didn't want to spen

Thanks very much and I hope all is well! I appreciate the clarification that it's not a numbered LE.

Yes, I have the WG version, 110.030. It was my first Lange. That reference was initially offered exclusively by Sincere for about a year and was then offered more widely through other Lange ADs. These guilloche versions were not initially called "Soiree."

Thank you...

... for the kind words, Walid, and moreso for sharing your story. Yes, that's a 110.030. I had never bought a high-end watch before this, and I was very nervous buying it sight unseen from an overseas dealer back in 2003. I managed to find someone local t

Datograph 1999

For me, seeing that picture of the dato got me obsessed. I was too young then but I was hooked. Some 10 years later I was in a position to buy it but couldn’t make it happen. Every time I saw it at a store, I would walk, try it on, and keep thinking if on

It's difficult because the crystal on your beautiful watch lacks anti-reflective coating...

Lange did not use AR-coated crystals on the 110.030. I never understood why, because your dial in particular is even more dazzling without all the reflections. Next time you get the watch serviced, you might consider asking Lange to replace the crystal wi
