Still in love just like on Day One 😍😍

Its nickname isn’t the Wonder Watch for nothing 😉 I don’t know about you but I much prefer the ref 3448 rather than 3450…

Patek Philippe Double-Signed Watches

In his comment to my thread dedicated to the Patek Philippe/Somazzi partnership , our dear Gordon aka GLau asked me how many retailers were able to have their signature on some Patek Philippe watches . Here's my answer : A / I have identified 58 retailers

Huge congratulations, Tony!

This is a wonderful and very special timepiece. Its “ Padellone case ” links it to some major references of the past (3448 & 3450) and its Regulator display and Advanced Research features make it a quite unique timepiece in Patek's catalogue and history.

Dear Emmanuel - Thank you for your reply including the images and analysis. The 3450 is much rarer than the 3448 and the red dot was only supplied at the very beginning of the run. So extremely rare.

After that it was it was Roman numerals. At one time I owned both my 3448 and a red dot. I decided it was a bit redundant and more than a bit self indulgent to keep both. I decided to let the red dot go. A factor was the “ cleaner” dial of 3448, although

Dear Patekova,

This setting problem is so real and the invention of the red dot featured on the dial of ref. 3450 was so important that, in the Patek Philippe Museum, the window display no. 36, which is dedicated to these watches, is called "Le point rouge" ("The red do

For me there is one significant deficiency regarding the legendary Patek 3448 and 2499 models. One cannot quick set the calendar functions.

Specifically, one cannot quick set the month (there is no month corrector), and there is no indication of the leap year cycle. Practically this means one might have to depress the day/date corrector over a 1,000 times to correctly set the watch. Patek app

When I think of all the great Pateks from the “modern era”, which for purposes of this post I postulate as being from approximately 1985 to present, there is one watch

that stands out above all others as my clear favorite. It is the 5970 - in any metal. For me the it is about as perfect as a watch can be, from both a functional and aesthetic standpoint. Love the perpetual calendar chronograph complication, the size and

This 13 years old 5396G-010 is my first PP complication.

The simple yet elegant and cleverly designed annual calendar is one of the iconic caliber of Patek. Though differing in case design, it’s dial layout always reminds me it’s vintage big brothers 3445/ 3450, which I have dreamed of acquiring someday 😊 Cheer

What a dilemna! 🙈 Bon courage with such a difficult decision to take! 😂

The 3450 is probably more dressy, while your 3971 is a bit more sport (mega) chic, so depending on the circumstances I would choose one or the other (at least that’s the way I do 😉) You can’t be wrong with either anyhow that’s for sure 👍, enjoy them and w
