I like the titanium/BMG quite a lot even though I don't consider myself an open-worked dial lover.

I would say I'm attracted to the combination of materials of this watch. You are right that it appears "bright," although it also seems easily legible. Again, while I wouldn't say open-worked dials are my thing, I do think AP (and VC) do them very well. M

I would have to go with neither here.

I have never liked these transparent dials like the Patek here. I don’t like seeing the day/months through the dial when they’re not in the appropriate display window. Lange does these dials and some people go crazy about them. I don’t understand it. I wo

In this price range I would opt for the

Blancpain Grande Double Sonnerie. (Photo credits: SJX) And if I had to choose between Patek and VC I would go for the VC. Not for the sound but somehow the dial and case of the VC speak more to me.
