One of my favourite...

along with the 3712/1A, 5740/1G. It is the oldest watch in my collection, with me for more than 12 years now:

Beautiful watch.

While these were unloved compared to the more "classical" watches then. I believe they were equally popular versus the 37xx/38xx Nautilus back in the days. Then 3712/1A was launched, the 5167 that followed a couple of years later wasn't as well received.

Gordon thank you for your extremely interesting and scholarly presentation on Cubitus, including an historical perspective that makes

Cubitus seem not so surprising after all. I found it particularly illuminating how Aquanaut, Neptune, even Sculpture and now Cubitus reflect a decades long effort by Patek to create offshoots and alternatives to Nautilus. (Reminds me a bit of a decades ol

I always smile when I see this reference 5712

I always smile when I see this reference. It's the Nautilus that I would pick (If I were to pick from the pile) But it's also the one that I can never carry well because of my small wrist. Nice picture ! Really a pleasure to see 5712 worn out on a adventu

Finally, FINALLY, obtaining my grail.

Introduction : For nearly fifteen years, I’ve been a regular on forums. And during that time, many of my purchases have been followed by a post addressing any such purchases. Personally, I enjoy thinking about, and memorializing in writing, what led me to

Great watch. this exact model

Got me into the Nautilus line. Many years ago, around 2004-5, but feels like yesterday, I was walking along 5th ave in NY, back from a meeting. Passing by WEMPE and watching the windows while walking, no intention to get any new watch, and voila, in the P

Thanks Nico, amazing shots and great post as always

What to say about one of my all-time favorites? To me, this is the perfect Nautilus (originally the 3712 if you wish). I love symmetry in general, but this "messy" dial simply works. The whole watch is a masterpiece in terms of design and functionality.

Gentleman I think it’s silly. The craze of 5711 will now get worst...

Another financial meltdown down and a lot of people will suffer ...don’t get me wrong but lot of these wat he’s will become safe queens like my 3712 which I stopped wearing as it’s an investment grade bond which has given me probably by far 5 x the return
