I retuned home from Vienna last evening..,

I couldn’t wait to strap on my VC Evasion World Time. It has a joyful wrist presence. I think my relationship to this watch might be akin to Emmanuel’s with his relationship to his PP Gondolo!

From Basel Fair, year 2000. Year 2000 was a great cru, with some good releases from Patek, such as this one and the 5100. 26 years after, where are we??? Best, Nicolas

PS: The engraved case is absolutely fascinating and I enjoyed contemplating it during each of my visits to the Patek Philippe museum.

If I could afford it, I wouldn't hesitate. But what I appreciate most is wearing my watches as often as possible, every day. And the prototype almost feels like it could be worn every day (even though I know that's just a dream). My Chronometro Gondolo 50

A Manta Ray floating in the dark. A two years old photo taken in Paris, of one of my favorite relatively modern Patek reference. Best, Nicolas

Franck Mueller never stood a chance.

Here's my watch for the day. Croton Aquamedico Tank on Shark Mesh. Circa 1940's. Was my Dad's daily for a long time. Not quite a Gondolo but like they say in racing...Run What Ya Brung.

A visit to Franck Muller

During my stay in Geneva last February , I visited the Franck Muller boutique . Unfortunately, it was a disappointing visit for two main reasons : First, the printed dials lack the charm of a guilloché dial. I was wearing my Chronometro Gondolo, and the d
