TGIF guys

Watch collecting can be stressful when you’re auctioning your watch, debating which Patek reference is better, deciding which independent watchmaker will be the next rising star or why the *#+}^} watch prices keep falling. When all things fail, keep calm and wear Rolex. OOTD: HAGWE, Gatsby

The start of the evolution - the SLGH005 White Birch 🇯🇵

Not a new watch anymore but what a blast when it came out! A new movement with a completely different architecture to what one was used to from GS, a new case design language and of course - possibly most memorably - the white birch dial. While the dial tends to concentrate most of the attention on

Pretty blue dial!

I liked this particular color when it came out in the time only version, but I having the black dial time only and a blue dial 15202 couldn’t really see it working for me. This perpetual calendar, though, was a no brainer 😊 A little bit of patience required to set to the current time from November l

Sharing some “styled” pics of my GP Laureato 8010 with calibre 3100

Not vintage. Not current production. NEO-vintage … presented at SIHH in 1995. Love these dimensions … 36 mm and 7.9 mm thin on my 18.2 cm wrist. A very well balanced watch IMHO. Interestingly, while, the case diameter is 36 mm the dial size of 27 mm is the same as the current production Laureato 38
