Jaeger-LeCoultre: Ah, my dear Nico, this is to cry for

Thank you for this post! That Reverso Géographique has been in my dreams for...well, since about 1999 when I discovered it in the JLC catalogue (now gone, purged by a girlfriend with so many other catalogues from the time...argh!) and immediately fell in love. The solid class of the ‘front’ side wit

Girard Perregaux: Good point

At least they got rid of the ‘1791’ text on the dial. I would prefer to replace the ‘GP’ at twelve o’clock with double indexes but it could also fairly be argued to retain it given that original Laureatos had a GP logo at twelve. Must say this version overall isn’t my cup of tea. I have tried to lik

Jaeger-LeCoultre: Ha!

I’m already golden with the in-laws ;-) but I don’t think I’ll be rewarded by my sister-in-law...although if her son gets sick of his anniversary 5711P or one of his RMs I’m always happy to help give them a place. Come to think of it, why didn’t he clean her watch and give her a new strap? Why’s she

Jaeger-LeCoultre: How dirty can a Reverso get?!?

So, I’m visiting my wife’s family in China over Chinese New Year. Her sister wears a simple Reverso which I helped her purchase some time back. Since then she’s worn it daily - no, I doubt it’ll ever get serviced! - and when she told Mrs E that the strap was worn, we decided to bring a new strap wit
