Independents: This is a cool piece

However it brings to mind a minor problem that I can’t quite ignore. From Lange to Romain to many other brands, I think they have all failed to do what Patek’s Aquanaut rubber strap does. That seamless integration on the wrist (read: without keepers) is just the best. Best Gatsby

Horological Meandering: He wants a real watch under 3K

This is quite a hard statement to understand I would look pre-owned IWC Omega Tudor maybe even Montblanc for something sportier. What I do like is Porsche Design’s older more vintage looking watch on bracelet — befits the image but I suspect isn’t quite his style. For something more casual I like No

Jaeger-LeCoultre: There’s something very very pleasing about the DSA

It’s vintage but also very “forward” looking. It fits in the modern world with some cool vibes of yesteryear. I think this is one of the best homages ever. I regret selling my DSA EU. However glad I still have the DSA US. Best Gatsby

Independents: That is a fantastic looking Gallet

Like you I have a soft spot for LF, mainly due to its ties to Patek, their minimalist yet elegant aesthetic and how beautifully constructed the micro rotor movement looks. Thanks for sharing this piece with us Geo. Best Gatsby
