Independents: LOL - Indeed...

...for adults who evidently cannot field simple questions without feeling attacked. A bit silly really that you seem to have this need to repeat how adult your tastes are online, whenever you can. But I guess within the limited constraints of looking at your navel as the centre of a superior univers

Independents: Yes, let's talk about being adult Magnus....

Seeing that the only thing you can evidently follow my discussion with is uncalled for mudslinging, by attempting to infer I am not talking in an adult manner worthy of discussion with you, then I am more than pleased to leave you to the horological sandbox in which you have happily positioned yours

Independents: Thank you!

Thank you very much for (the only) straight answer and acknowledgement in this discussion, very much appreciated. I am very curious to see what these bits are in the final result. Again: this is not to take anyone down, even IF it might be a mistake by the maker. Watches are made by people in the en

Independents: Hi Don

Of course it will be interesting to see more pictures of such an interesting watch. And of course there are screws holding the chatons ;-0) Still, none of the above answers the question what the two bits of metal are sticking out of the winding barrel chaton (4th try). Since no-one here with any kno

Independents: As you wish..

So you really still cannot see the two bits of metal sticking out of the winding barrel chaton??? And now you want to tell me they are 2 screws by showing me something else? Why this need to obfuscate the obvious? Since you evidently know Klings, and want to pursue the question, why not just ask him

Independents: Of course you can see it in this picture..

unless you don't want to see what is in front of you ;-0) In this case the 2 bits of metal sticking out are there at roughly 9 and 3 o'clock around the winding barrel jewel chaton. If you don't want to talk about it, or feel offended because it is your current favourite watch, then please let's igno

Independents: Well for starters...

look at the topmost jewel,it looks like the winding barrel jewel. on the left and right has the outer edges of the chaton sheared off? Or am I mistaken and this is a retaining ring of some kind?? All the other chatons also have bits of metal between the charon ring and the hole in the bridge it shou

Independents: With the greatest respect...

for Mr. Klings work, why are almost all the chatons damaged? It appears there was a big problem fitting the chatons to their openings in the bridges... Furthermore, the bridge nearest the winding barrel carrying the center/auxiliary wheel has only one point of attachment to secure it against the for

Independents: Totally agree

Just my personal feeling, no offence intended, but for me the modern dial really jolts with the classic movement decoration of what is essentially a Series 2. Nice coup for Roger to get attention and advertising for it, but I sincerely doubt it will be noted as one of his best creations. A classic S

Independents: Hmmm

In my view rather expensive for a 2892 ETA movement (which costs CHF 127,00) in 'pseudo limited' configuration of rubber and steel.... But I suppose if you are a mountain biker type, the rubber tire styled strap is what counts? Sorry, not my cup of tea. Cheers, Rushwarp
