Officine Panerai: I began losing track after Reference 300...

Especially since I have been collecting since 2001. My lowest number PAM now is a 27C. I had a PAM 2 up until last year. Of course many of these references are minor variants of other versions (how many 4xx Boutique Editions are there?), so development costs are minor. As they say, this is "the new

Officine Panerai: I like the design concept, but not the execution....

The design certainly has historical roots in the old Panerai clock design, but I can't help but think that the font size on the 312, 320, 359 etc is just a bit too small.

don't see them for sale often. But these sold out fast, and somebody must own them. Low enough volume (75) that I imagine there are 75 collectors who wanted them and have them sitting in their collections. The 358 is like this. These low volume special editions for specific shops are a great idea. H

Officine Panerai: Well, depends on your definition of "special"....

Certainly the 358 is no 21, 127, 203, 300, 339, 249, or 232. But if you want a 47 mm sub, I think it is special. I recently put a 243, 285 and 305 next to one another and took a group look. My eye was attracted to the 285. It looked "knarly" to me, for those of you who remember that phrase. Okay, so
