Vacheron Constantin:
A self-informative movement, except its height: 1.64mm.

Excellent. (It would be fascinating to know how it's made.)

p.s. It is 1.64mm thick and, yes, I regret selling mine.

Vacheron Constantin & Audemars Piguet share the 'ultra-thin' 1003/2003 movement, which is renowned for its reliability. It is far from delicate. :-)

Sigh ... I remember with affection the days of slim watches. Now, 12mm is common - almost the norm - and 40mm wide is standard, with lots of fresh air inside the case. Fat is king.

Wonderful watch, of course! Perhaps not the best choice of adjoining shirt & jacket. ;-)

A jaw-dropping post! Thank you very much. CvdK's work is remarkable, isn't it? It makes many so-call watchmakers' products look crude. And I have one! Albeit the simplest he's ever made.
