A moderator never discusses business with the brand he moderates. It is not his role, his function, his business.
We have an Executive Team who deals with brands. And believe it or not, but I don't even say if ,this year, JLC is one of our sponsors.
Why? To keep our editorial independance with the brand. So, I will let the Exex Team to answer you on that matter.
The Moderator writes, animates and has an eye on the answers, to be sure that there is no agressivity from one member to another, and to check that the rules of the forum are respected.
Did you ever see me editing any negative message?
No.
Even when I am wrong, I let my post as it was written, with the mistake.
Did you never see me ciriticizing the brand I moderate? So you should read all my posts, which is quite exhaustive, but to orientate you:
1/ Among the brands of the Richemont Group, look at my posts on the VC forum, Lange Forum, Panerai forum, you may have fun. At least you will be convinced that I know what is Independance.
2/ Outside the Richemont Group, look at some of my posts on the Patek forum, for example. I am far from being happy with all.
3/ Back to JLC, now: When I am not happy with a Watch, I say it. About the Geophysic, did I write ' Wow, super, you should absolutely get it! " Did I not write that the JL Logo was too much, that I would have preferred a manual movement and so on....?
Now, i I am happy with a watchn, I say it. About the TT Geophysic, I mentionned the good points, and the crititcal points.
Yes, I have some friends at the JLC Manufacture, yes I go at the Manuf two or three times a year, yes, I take tons of pictures there, yes I spend time to work on topics to come, and to dig a bit more on the topics I already wrote.
Is it suspect when you write a lot, whe you participate in the disussions, is Passion suspect? If so, what are we doing here, why are we writing, participating, discussing, sharing?
I am getting tired of:
1/ Seeing that a discussion about a Watch has turned into a discussion about integrity.
2/ Seeing my integrity discussed.
Now, I better understand why some big collectors never want to come to foras... And to share. I found it a bit selfish, I start ot understand them. Isn't that a pity???
Best,
Nicolas
