Let the haters hate. I have a stainless steel one on order...

I guess I'm a rather pedestrian collector of watches (despise the term, "collector", actually), but I'm excited about this watch. More importantly, I'm excited to WEAR this watch. It's simple, plain, classic, functional, versatile, timeless, and in today's world, reasonably priced. I can see it with a croc strap, a canvas NATO, or distressed leather. Yes, it could have been more like the original, but isn't the TTP 68's alarm not exactly like its forebear, and isn't the movement in the TTP a little TOO advanced compared to the original?
Time marches on…advances are made--or they're not. Yes, I've got some manual-wind watches, and yes, having one here would have been more true to the original, but face it--automatics are convenient. If some won't purchase this watch because it doesn't have a manual movement, that's fine with me and many other would-be buyers. Luckily my AD is getting one and one only, and I'm told my down payment will hold the order for me. People can hate the watch they've only seen in pictures, but I would encourage people to try one on if they can and judge it for what it is--not what it should have been.
For those who are disappointed, there's an easy answer: Go pick up an original!
