There is something in the waiting. . . . .

Dear Nicolas,
Thank you for such a wonderful intro and review to an iconic piece.
I think we all agree that a hand wound calibre, a "real" chronometer, and less writing on the dial is actually more. (The affluence of written information on the dial seems to be an ever growing disease of a lot of brands).
Nevertheless, the watch has a lot of 'charm", which cannot be said for most. And the size, just perfect!
What I suspect is that this re-edition to the 1958 Geophysic is a kickstart of something larger to come: a new line of "Geophysic" within the collection. And with it, I hope, a newly developed movement entirely amagnetic and a true chronometer. NOT an COSC certified calibre, but one set by JLC themselves. Rolex quietly introduced the Syloxi silicon hairspring, Omega the Master Co-Axial calibre, and Patek Philippe uses new material and technology. Which line would be better for JLC to follow suit then a Geophysic Line.
I suspect, SIHH 2015 will bring the answer.
Regards,
Andreas
