We are many here to have preferred a manual movement, Inside!
Now, let's travel in time, and imagine that Watchprosite existed in 1958.
We discover the original Geophysic, a new Watch, at that time.
1st, we would have MAYBE preferred an automatic movement, since it was a technical progress, at that time.
2d, if we were, at that time, strong fans and defenders of manual movements, we would have been shicked to see that the finish of its movement has been downgraded, compared to te one of its younger sister, housed in the Mark 11, which was quite high for a military Watch movement!
3rd, Those who discovered the Mark 11 and its movement would have maybe complained to see that this nice movement was less refined than the one used for Chonometry contests...
Ok, the Geophysic movement ( I mean the original ) received some technical sophistications, that's true.
At least, the automatic movement has been finely adjusted, in the Tribute, with a - 1 / + 4 secs per day range...
Will it be enough to make it desirable, that is the question highlighted in this thread.
Best, and thanks for chiming in!
