Since I’m in the UK I can’t answer your question but I will be interested to hear other people’s experiences.


Although the watch is still within the warranty period, is the defect covered by the warranty?

If they need to send the watch to New York to diagnose the problem, I can understand why they might want to charge for shipping and insurance up front, but I would hope that they would reimburse the cost if the problem does turn out to be something covered by the warranty, since effectively you will have been sold a defective watch and you would not have incurred the transport cost but for the defect.
