I don't quite agree. If there’s an official PP representative in the city and I go there with a warranty issue, I don’t expect to pay extra for resolving it on a nearly new watch — that’s what the local representative is for.
If someone cannot physically get to the service center, that’s a different matter. For example, if my new car breaks down and it’s still under warranty, the company will pick it up from anywhere (in US) — I don’t worry about how, and they even cover a hotel if needed.
