Thanks, but there should be no doubt that moderators were going to let this thread stay -- we are not here to defend any brand. And just to see how it feels to be humble, let me add that the #1 brand on Earth wouldn't need my defense anyway! ;-)

In fact, as I mentioned in another thread today, I don't even disagree on the specific point the OP raised on movement finishing, even though of course I find the quality of Patek's movements *very* good. There was no surprising information in this thread -- these movement pictures were always available to the public, as I released them in HD as soon as I received them from Patek. But I can agree that the finishing of the angles, in certain watches, is done better by other brands. This is hardly the main priority for myself or other collectors, but to the extent that it matters to someone, it's technically true.
The reason why Patek is considered rather universally the top horological brand is due to a number of factors that obviously go *well* beyond movement finishing or inward angles, and that we have already discussed at length on this forum. However, I sincerely respect also those collectors who choose other brands, even if they could afford a Patek. As I always say, the last thing Patek needs is to beg people to buy their watches -- and if someone is lucky enough to be able to afford a Patek, I just want them to LOVE it or not buy it at all! ;-)
Besides that I don't have such a strong opinion on finishing, I avoided replying to this thread because one poster's frustrations (I'm sure only related to inward angles) led him to conclude, in a pretty convenient mix of jokes and serious rants, that buyers of the new reference 6119 must be 62-year-old rich men with sexual problems....Frankly, similar considerations didn't invite my reply, for they are much more telling of the character of a person than the finishing of a movement. Note that we haven't taken any action against this poster, and that certainly won't include deleting a thread where many members contributed with intelligent remarks.
So thank you again for your comment about WPS and its moderators, and be reassured that respectful and intellectually honest conversations will *always* be allowed here as far as I'm concerned -- regardless of whether a specific thread is in favor or against a brand ;-)
Cheers.
