I don't disagree but...

I don't disagree and im certainly not trying to "defend" PP per se but thought I would also add that another "hyped" brand, is FPJ and at similar price points, around 100-200K mark FPJ's movement also do not have interior angles either.
Now, many defend FPJ as his watches are not famous for "finishing" etc and everyone loves his watches including myself (I own 3). But is the lack of interior angles SUCH a big deal? Would I prefer the 5236 and most "grand complications" to have more manual finishing? Yes for sure. But Patek provides MUCH more than just finishing. If you compare it just by finishing, it is not in the same league as some of the independents. But if you look at the brand as a whole, the servicing that is available pretty much globally, well at least in major cities, the reliability of the movement, there were comments about how the Patek Seal removed the finishing element but it did not mention how reliable these patek caliber's run. these watches can pretty much be worn daily without too much trouble. Unlike independents which can be hit and miss in this area, though would be a prettier movement. For me I like to evaluate the watch as a whole, not just purchasing but the guarantee and reliability that it offers, which ofcourse includes the liquidity aspect as well, as the trust of the brand is built.
Overall I feel that Patek provides watches that are very "balanced". Balanced in reliability of the movement (28,800 BPH high beat perpetual, Good service intervals), ergonomically suitable, being fairly thin and not too big, remember many "independents" have perpoetuals that are 42MM + and 13MM + etc. When you start to take these into account, yes the finishing is not on par but on other areas, it can for sure compete. A perpetual in a similar price point is the Lange1 perpetual but look conisdering that watch is larger and thicker and also the case, fi you look at Patek's case, its made from 1 single block, unlike Lange, which has soldered on lugs. Clearly being forged is much more expensive than soldering etc. Patek has unique cases for many of its references and that is something that shouldn't be overlooked either.
Just thought Ill throw in my 2cs here.
