Ming, I agree with you. There are several issues, on several levels, at play here.

 

While I understand the general ill will among old timers towards the idea of declared Limited Editions which are limited editions for no reason other than marketing (if it was a non-marketing BUSINESS decision, ie, market size, then don't declare a limited edition, just stop making them) I do have trouble understanding why there is such push back in the specific.

Just don't buy it if you don't like it.
