As an owner of the 'original' LE, I must say that I am VERY disappointed by this latest development. The NSA is a very, very nice watch - this is not for discussion.
However, I do have an issue with a company that starts off by not keeping its promises, then tells something that must have been a lie and ends up producing and selling what they said could not be produced and sold in the first place. My story is probably not unique...
First, I was shown the prototype with the engraved logo. That is what I ordered.
Then, as I came to pick up my new NSA, it turned out that the engraving had been cancelled. It was now on the alarm disk. The message from the AD was: 'Well, tough luck - but your problem. I have other buyers waiting...' . As the watch is pretty cool, I ended up buying it - but I must confess that the alarm disk reminds me of the 'bait and switch'.
I learned to live with it and I came to really like my NSA.
Then a limited edition of the limited edition appears in Madrid. What was not possible for the original batch of watches is now suddenly available to a select crowd. What a joke.
And now not one, but two more limited editions of the limited edition appears. What a joke.
In the end JLC now has at least one disappointed fan and customer, if not more. The combination of 'bait and switch' and the subsequent appearance of the product that could not be produced is a big disappointment.
I don't know what the learning point of this is....and I know there is not much I can do about it - except tell my story...
Does anybody have the e-mail address of Mr. Lambert?
