Just my opinion,..

 

Iagree with the disappointment of some original owners and I strongly disagree with some JLC decision marketing wise.Its a known fact that my love for JLC is growing everyday but sometimes there are some faux pas.I think the problem is that JLC provides from the most simple reverso from a few thousands dollars to the Hybris a sonnerie worth a million and every aspects of modern and classic horologerie,divers,alarms,repeaters,chronos,sport.classy,dressy....the whole spectrum.So its understandable that some stategies sometimes fail and disappoint customers.Its impossible to cater to so many people and needs and not upset anybody.

For example Lange doesn t run this risk as they have a segmet of the audience and just deliver their strong identity,which is precious metals and great finish.Even Lange would have some problems if they started doing stainless steel watches,sport ones,divers etc.

Having said that though I think JLC should be careful with their strategies a bit more...in my short life as a watch lover I-ve seen endless Paris boutique editions and so on....all beautiful watches don t get me wrong but sometimes the value of LE is watered down.

I also understand that JLC needs to sell to matain a big production like they do so marketing is vital....Its a fine line betwenn exclusivity and selling out with class.....tough job on JLC.Yours,Mo.
