Jaeger-LeCoultre

Again, I continue to be impressed with the BH JLC Boutique

...and all it does for the customers and fans.  I think it is marvelous what the Boutique and JLC did here.  I also applaud the loyal and active group of JLC fans that particiapted in the creation of these two LEs and who participate in all of these special events.  It is this kind of lively interaction between the Manufacture and the customers that I love about JLC.

The design of these two LEs is awesome.  The black gold is an interesting but not obvious choice and I would love to see it in the metal some day.

OK, since there seems to be some disturbance in this thread about LEs and how the NSA LEs are being handled, I guess I will add my 2 cents (and remember you get what you pay for, LOL).

Like Nicolas, I don't really buy into this whole LE phenomenon.  I much prefer limited production, with limited information released by the manufaturers about the actual numbers produced.  I think that keeps things more interesting, fair and calm.  That said, I for one already kind of learned my lesson with the AMVOX2 series of potentially never ending LEs.  Maybe they are at an end now, maybe not. But, I think there is always the potential to appear to have deceived early buyers when subsequent LEs are released.  But now I know: JLC, like other manufacturers will do this sometimes when they hit upon a popular model. I also want JLC to do well and have popular models, so I can't begrudge them their new LEs, really.

As for LEs of an already LE -- who cares?  Again, it is just a matter of releasing a series of LEs just as JLC did with the AMVOX1 and 2, and just as AP has done with the Offshores and just as so many other brands have done time after time.  But I do not think LEs are going away any time soon.  Can you tell I am over the whole LE thing?

Another esson learned, is do not order watches based solely on what is announced at SIHH or Baselworld.  As we have seen many times, the final design sometimes results in some significant changes from the original press releases.  The original Black AMVOX was supposed to have been a more limited edition, remember?  I agree the non-etched crystal deivery came as a surprise to me, but I think it makes sense why they did not etch the crystal in the final design.  I think it is great to offer some special editions with the etched crystal for the fans who really wanted it.  AndI wonderif JLC would consider replacing non-etched for etched crystals on the regular LE NSA for a fee...

I would like to just say again, the NSA is a great tool watch and these are two terrifiic versions of the NSA -- especially that PVD titanium. Total hotness!  JLC has clearly distinguished itself  in teh realm of sport and tool watches in the past decade, i think reviving what they had started with the diving Memovoxes in the past.  I admire that they can produce such ool watches at the same time that they arte producing watches the MUT, the Duometre, and the Grande Tradition pieces.  Beauties and the Beasts al from one great Manufacture.

Cheers,

respo

PS -- Ming and Daos, thank you for sharing last night's event with all of us. I am increasingly jealous of your location for so many reasons, but you are both so generous in sharing the fun with the rest of us poor folk living in cold, JLC-deprived climates.
