No one watch solves everything

But if I were put into a scenario where I simply couldn't own more than one watch, I would have to pick this one:
Grand Seiko's SBGX333. The 9F movement is tougher than almost any mechanical, and with a much longer service interval. The 9F also satisfies the gearhead in me, as it is an extremely polished take on quartz technology. The design is simple but beautiful, it will never get old. That little bit of color in the logo and seconds hand is just enough. This watch also features my favorite case and bracelet combo that GS has ever made.
Of course, I was tempted to say that my one watch would be something more spectacular, like a Lange PLM handwerkskunst or a Krayon Anywhere, but I know myself well enough to know that if I were actually put in this scenario, I wouldn't choose anything so 'haute horlogerie'. It would be something like this, something that you don't think too much about until you glance down at it. At which point you smile to yourself and think "man, what a fantastic watch."
