A "one-watch collection" is always a fascinating topic, and while I'm convinced it's probably impossible to achieve it (or rather, if it's possible, then we might never know! ;-), I guess all of us have entertained this thought at least once....

Three years ago, I "notoriously" got blessed perhaps not with an ideal one-watch collection, but certainly with my favorite watch *ever* (the marvelous "Boccadasse," of course )
Then, this summer, I completed my personal Patek Rare Handcraft collection by acquiring the latest of the four "main" crafts (wood marquetry, enamel, hand-engraving, and miniature painting) with the 5088/100P you can see on the top right. Once again, I felt incredibly, and FULLY, satisfied....
But no way that the game was over!
I recently learnt that I've been assigned a new Patek that I cannot refuse, which I'll be picking up during the Christmas break....an amazing enamel piece from Mrs. Porchet's atelier, from the 2021 collection
So should I officially give up on the "perfect" collection now (be it 1, 5, 10, or 100 pieces), and just accept that it can potentially grow forever, or at least for as long as I'm blessed with this cultural interest in horology (and the finances to support it?! ;-)
Thanks again for kicking off a thoughtful thread Hussam, with lots of interesting and very personal responses from our members! Enjoy.
