Hussam my friend, I love this post; it brings out an introspective nature to all of us I think.......

I'm late to the party here, frankly because I've been pondering this question you posed. Over the weekend, I've thought about the 'one-watch' idea, and of course I've had watches run through my head. Like all of us, I've also looked at their pros and cons mentally, taking each into account in their own way. Some were simply disqualified because of service considerations. One that I know of that could be ideal, is a very expensive and long service window. If I only have one watch, would i be okay with a giant service bill and not having it for a reported 3-5 months? I don't think so
A couple of our friends here, have posted some criteria; I like reading these thoughts and hearing what attributes define their ideal one-watch. It's also a very rational thing to do.
In thinking about all of the possibilities, I really think I already own it in my Sedna Gold Bathyscaphe. I didn't wear it all weekend, but picked it up to wind and set the time. The crown and winding is soooo smooth, such a tactile experience. The brushed finish, the size, the movement and anglage on the bridges; the dial, bezel and overall appearance. It's large enough to fully appreciate, but not gaudy. Being 'Sedna' brushed rose gold, it doesn't scream either; it speaks with a voice that is more hushed. The thin bezel overall look works very well with business casual, which frankly will probably be my 'go-to' look post-COVID.
While I may find others that would be a one-watch candidate, I'd be perfectly content with my Fifty Fathoms through the years......
Great post Hussam!
