well said Daos, i also got some idea of your age

a teenagers music is the most important thing to
them and they dont consider anything else until they mature a bit and realise
that 60's rock was the foundation on which all modern music is
based.
i was lucky enough to get my sister, 6 years
older, to take me to Knebworth in 76 to see Led Zeppelin, a seminal
experience.
my parents hated all the rock i liked, i hated
all the stuff my son and daughter liked and hate all this dance rubbish my
steppies are into, but my eldest first born child, mainly due to his guitaring
and gigging, is now into all the classic guitarists from 60's and
70's.
i think we born from mid 50's to mid 60's are
very lucky to have been in on the ground floor of music that has made such a
huge impression on the world. what was experimentation to Syd Barrett et al is
now commonplace to modern bands. double tracking, overdubbing on 4 track in the
studio and light shows on stage etc.
i've rambled a bit, but hope it makes
sense.
