I am reminded of something that happened to me a few years ago.
I was doing a live-in management course with a group of executives from diverse backgrounds (I was the only one from the health industry). As we got to know one another it became clear that one of the guys was a very well known (retired) rugby player who had played for Australia and had been involved in some of the most memorable moments in Australia’s rugby history. [In fact most had recognised him immediately, but I am not such a rugby fan].
Anyway, one evening we were chatting over a beer and he told me how much he envied what I had achieved in my career. I had done what he had apparently always wanted to do, but didn’t have the opportunity. It was a very heartfelt comment from him, and I was touched.
Hope I haven’t bored you with my story, but it reminds me that whatever we do we should do it to the best of our ability. And also that other peoples jobs might seem more exciting/interesting/exotic, but we each have our own talents to contribute.
Still, you have done some inspiring work for all use motoring aficionados and my 9 year old has a Murciélago on his wall, so you may have inspired another future designer and/or petrol head!
Nice to share our interests here.
Regards
Andrew
