The sad thing is that we are probably all indirect stockholders in United Airlines considering so many funds invest in major airlines. I'm not a shareholder individually and I checked if I was a shareholder through a fund I was in to declare any professional bias in my article (I'm not hence no mention).
But assuming he sues and gets a tremendous compensation, at the end, United gets hurt, shareholders get hurt, and as one of the nation's flagship carriers even tourism gets hurt. Everyone loses.
