My question is
The injured passenger was a doctor. Now if he was travelling to transplant an organ placed on ice into a patient, got kicked off the flight and then the organ deteriorates to the point of no return (highly likely scenario); who provides a replacement (compatible) organ? Not a rhetorical question. I doubt the gentleman would have kicked up a fuss if he was a general practitioner and I suspect he may have been a surgeon. Hence his reluctance to be bumped.

Yeah, I've been denied boarding at the gate, but never once I've already been seated.
