On X-mas eve 2015 ...
.. my daughter and son in law booked a flight from Tel-Aviv to Brussels with Jetairfly (Now Tui-airlines). Upon arrival at the airport they couldn't get on the plane as it was overbooked. The airline stated they had sent them an email they couldn't go on the flight. Since it was X-mas eve they suddenly shut the office and told them to get the f*** out and bugger off. They checked their emails but couldn't find anything.
They wanted to surprise us by arriving at our home on this very Christmas eve.
So while i was in the shower i got a very very very disturbing phonecall by my daughter who was in tears, bearing in mind we lost another daughter just a few weeks before i don't have to tell you i didn't know what to think until she revealed the whole story of what was actually going on. To my relief they were okay and in good health.
Since i never got hold onto the exact details of the whole situation i didn't bother going any further, BUT ... if i had been on that United Airlines plane .. and i really HAD to STAY on that plane i would have started a fight for sure ! Not bothering what the consequences could be, i hate this kind of injustice by people that think they can do to others whatever pleases them, be it within the regulations or laws or whatever is written on paper in what we call 'the little writing' :-( .
I hope that doctor can sue the airline and get a few 100K's out of this, but i foremost hope the REAL responsible who decided to get that man off (not the CEO of United) will get his are kicked the same way they did to that poor fellow .... .
