TimeOut

Better late than never

I'm 40 and grew up in the rough and tumble neighborhood of South Boston, MA (think Good Will Hunting, The Departed).

At 18 I enlisted in the USAF and was stationed in Japan, Philippines and Okinawa as an explosives specialist.

Marrried 7 years. My wife Deirdre, one year old son Jack, a dog and two cats, and I live in Kingston, MA, USA (about 35 miles south of Boston). My boy is my life, I think everyone understands that so enough said.

Sales is my profession and have been at it for 12 years. Love it! The customers, pressure, responsibility for the company's success and that people look to sales to feed them and pay their rent. Failure is not an option.

Watches, boating, golf and food are my passions and of course forum surfing with any spare second.

My screen name comes from Godfather III and my old neighborhood. A friend called me Mr. Joey ZaZa in front of one of my colleagues and the name stuck (12 years now). I shortened it to the now familear 'joeyza'. It's ironic as my heritage is 100% Irish (all of my grandparents were from Galway) as is my wife's heritage (her parents are off the boat from Cork).

My first 'real' watch was a Breitling Colt and purchased mainly as a status symbol back in 1997. As the bug bit me hard, I made it my mission to learn as much as possible about movement, design, etc. The next was my 1957 IWC c89 , which I still own and it is my only LONG TERM survivor (11 years).

I consider it a privelege to have 'met' the gentlemen and ladies on this forum and without a doubt you have influenced my non-watch life in a possitive way. For that, I am eternally grateful.

Slainte, (Gaelic for 'To Your Health' and used as cheers, salute, etc.)

Joe
