actually, this is my 1st post...
...and where better to start posting at PuristPro? Well here of course, I have been browsing around the PuristPro site for a couple of months now, studying from the masters and already had drooled out buckets of saliva, but now decided to make a move. 
"Richey" is someone's name which I took to be mine, and I've been using it ever since I started surfing around the net. Alas this is not my actual name as my mother had always called me by the name that she gave me. The "xx" thing was just there to make it easier to register email accounts.
Born in Hong Kong but bred in the UK, so I had the best (and worst) of both worlds in me, Chinese by ethnicity, but don't think it would matter much here, which is a good thing. As for age... well I'm sure a lot of you guys are around the age of my father (or even grandfather) as I'm still in the (middle) 20s :P. Accountant by profession, but was trained as a applied-physicist from one of the best institutions in UK, Europe and the world, didn't go into PhD and the whole research thing as I was bored by it, so now I'm working as a (part-time) auditor in one of the 4 biggest audit firms in the world (I mean part-time because I have other occupations...such as a stock trader). Other people would call that a hellish life. Happily married with 2 puppies, no kids and not yet as I'm not a great fan of children.
Still a novice in the world of horology, 1st watch worth mentioning was a Bvlgari-Bvlgari given to me by my aunt at my wedding (actually it was a pair, the other for my wife of course), just an ETA workhorse but that was all needed to kickstart me to drool on anything that ticks and tells time, currently eyeing a PAM213 as I have recently caught the Panerai virus too (and damn it I blame the Panerai forum haha) :P
Other passions include:- guitars (used to have a small collection of Gibsons and Fenders but I'm now only down to my SG), rock music (in particular heavy metal and the oldies i.e. Pink Floyd, zep), reading, creative writing (and more recently blogging).
