Vacheron Constantin

Cheap but expensive

I agree with the 'they shouldn't have done this' sentiments.
Giving up on Geneva Seal is a cheap move, carefully disguised on their website in the way this piece is presented. At least it leaves a future opportunity for them to proudly announce that, "All of our movements are now Geneva Seal" in a couple of years when this folly has been abandoned. Lol. And we'll all be applauding the new CEOs 'vision'.
I'm really surprised this design got approved with that catastrophically disrupted date window. As to the movement, once seen, the 'spare unused pivot for small seconds' cannot be unseen. It's like finding blanking plates for options you haven't got in a luxury car and stinks of cheap, modularity.
