That’s old news – I confirmed this last week, on the same day DF put the thread up on WUS.
And again yesterday when I spoke with Richard, after reading Martin's email reply from Pat, on TRF.
The problem isn’t what HSWA are saying, but why they’re deviating from what is essentially a global policy, and (seemingly) not acting in accordance with US Consumer Laws.
As they're owned by Patek Philippe SA, then who ultimately sanctioned this policy, all those years ago?
Was it the (then) CEO of HSWA, Thierry Stern himself, or someone else between the two?
Was it ever run past the legal department before being actioned?
And if it was, then could they highlight which part of the legislation permits them to keep the limited nature of the warranty undisclosed, until a claim is being made?
