I have my doubts, but am testing this right now. I have a second hand Patek 5890 Blue dial. it just went out of warranty but i went to Shrieve & Co (Palo Alto California). they said they were requesting my repair be done under warranty (small booger on the dial). They did not believe me being a second hand owner had anything to do with anything. They agreed with me that since the case had never been open, the booger on the dial (dust, glue, whatever it turns out to be) was all Pateks doing regardless of warranty time period. Patek might tell me the fix will cost me because its out of warranty, we will see.
