I completely agree, this is my feeling too.
I think what you wrote is the spirit I understand and that's how things should be handled. We forget how good Patek handles situations for their customers. I see examples every year.
This being said, there seems here to be another issue about the fact that even people with correctly filled papers, as long as they are the second owner, may have issues with getting the warranty activated.
We will try to have a confirmation from Geneva's HQ first.
