Horological Meandering

Newbie with a question

Andrew-

I recently inherited a Longine ultra-chron watch. I was doing some internet research on it and came across your thread. You seem very knowledgeable on the subject. My watch is 30-40 years old according to my mother. It is "silver" in color with a silver-white dial that is pearl like in that in certain light from the side  it shows green and pink irregular bands of color. The 6, 9, and 12 markers are each three tiny diamonds (real?) forming a stick. The back says 14k gold and "use 1260 wrench".

Based on your comment about the sound of the watch, I listened and there is a very audible and very fast ticking. It does NOT say "swiss made" anywhere. Does this sound like the watch is a genuine ultra-chron? I plan to keep the watch for sentimental reasons but I am curious about the watch. If anyone on this thread has an interest, I could post a picture.

Thanks,

Craig
