I'd hypothesize "no." Some may get upset and leave, but most others would probably wait for whatever pieces they want to show up on the preowned market. This dynamic already exists except it hasn't been formally named. The Grand Lange 1 Moonphase Lumen (LE of 200) is one example, and the honey gold Lange 1 (LE of 20) is another. I don't think either of those watches went to clients who had done little or no prior business at an official point of sale.
