Hmm, it will be interesting to see, how well and transparent the implementation of this will be.
I could live with the fact, that they link the purchase history internally for allocation purposes of special items and price stability. I would hate to see the PP way of things to put the customer‘s name and even adress on the watch certificate or any other solutions, that will de facto limit the freedom of the customer to do with a watch after purchase, whatever they want. (Impact on possible future purchases is ok, impact on already purchased watches is not ok)
It‘s ok for me to have an application/allocation process for special/limited pieces, as long as the rules for allocations are transparent and the same for everyone. Also, they would need to make sure, that you really have a chance to get a limited edition piece at some point and the limited editions do not end up being allocated to the always same customers (One possible way of doing this: if you fullfill the allocation requirements, but didn‘t get a piece you applied for, you‘ll have a higher chance to get the next piece, you apply for). I‘d hate to see the AP way of handling this.
