I’m not so sure that everyone needs an alarm but I personally love so much that complication and own several watches I enjoy so much with that feature.
The G Shock is a great stealthy watch which as you well describe are tough and doesn’t attract much attention.
And the Nomos makes for a very nice and practical dress watch.
