Thank you for a great review, Patrick. IMO its VC version of The Emperor's New Clothes.
It's always refreshing to see a review from one of our own, and not a copy-paste of the company communication or blind applause by those who got paid a lot like Revolution et al.
The Emperor's New ClothesApology but, I don't share the excitement and buzz all sites are pumping on behalf of the Richemont group.
The watch is a dull shadow of the original in every aspect, and a poor offering in the 2025 era. 50m, 40hrs, 3 parts case, moot hacking (my guess is that it was cheaper for VC to jeep it this way rather than eliminating the hacking "feature") etc. that is Richemont doing Richemont again.
Not to mention the price point.. the IWC INGENIEUR is a bargain now...
I'll take the original 222 over the new any time! and with the lack of a WR of the new iteration its equivalent in its babysitting requirement as a vintage one...
Now let's wait and see what Breguet will bring us this year.
