And a lot of tailors who know how to appeal to a nouveau Emperor's vanity. This watch is not perfect. But it is fairly well done. I think you can tell I was really sad about the case construction is no longer a 2 piece. And I agree... The short power reserve is a little surprising.
I don't know if the IWC INGENIEUR being a bargain is a joke or not. But that really has a super industrial basic movement in there. Etachron regulator too. Basic stud regulator. But yes, that one does have a long power reserve.
Oh, and this watch has a hacking mechanism but no second hand! Funny!
Does the Chopard Alpine Eagle XPS appeal to you? It's sporty. It's got water resistance. Screw down crown. And it's also Geneva Sealed!
Oh, to be fair to VC, the new 50M water resistance standard actually means this watch can go to 50 meters depth. Whereas the old 120M water resistance might not be able to actually go to 50 meters depth. Not that this matters, I'm scuba certified and even I can only go 30M.

A few things...
1. This movement is much thinner than the Tissot. 2. Accuracy is a big deal at the high end watch brands. So it's more likely to be more accurate across the power reserve in all five positions! The Tissot is probably not inaccurate across the power reserv...

for good reason! as an owner of the 222 gold I can only say that the watch looks fantastic and feels even more fantastic on the wrist..

I really like the gold version. The way the date disc and the dial are more color matched harmonizes the look.
