... the minute hand of your lovely watch has lost part of the lume at least and, as much as I can see, some dots surely have lost the lume too. I am possibly wrong, but there is a tiny scratch on the dial between ten and eleven and who knows what else led them to tell you they cannot service the movement only and give you a faulty watch back. If it had been a diving model, no doubts they would have replaced the crown too. I speak as a former owner of a 1958 dial-serviced Submariner 6538 (stolen) and a 1967 Submariner 5513, dial, hands and crown serviced. Above all, they are tool watches and need to be weatherproof. Besides, once replaced you certainly will not need the old parts anymore, won’t you?
