Patek Philippe

Oh dear I imaging all this is very distressing and frustrating for you ...

My suggestion would be to approach Patek directly in Hong Kong. I imagine Patek would have a direct presence in Hong Kong, with Hong Kong being such a major watch market and will many heavy weight watch collectors. The only definitive answer would be when Patek brings it in for a full examination to determine the underlying cause. I am no enamel expert, but I dunt think its the lubricating oils (only a touch amount is used and I cannot imagine it spilling out, besides many of the lubricants used are quite viscous). Moisture and enamel I am not familiar with but even if its moisture, it suggests a defect in the bonding between the various layers or more likely between the underlying gold disc and the enamel. My experience with Patek's customer service in Singapore has been exemplary, and I would expect that the same degree of care and professionalism will be extended to Hong Kong and especially to you as a reputed watch collector. In any case I hope this matter will be resolved expediently, amicably and favourably for you. Do keep us updated on the outcome. Best wishes
