How do you travel with your watches? When I travel on vacation, as I am now, I either wear a g-shock, or a sport watch that I can wear the whole time, in the water, everywhere. How do purists travel with multiple watches or with a dress watch? Because som...

Yes, travelling with expensive watches can be unsafe. Doesn't matter whether it is 5-star hotel. Employees have sharp eyes, even when you wear a long sleeve shirt and a jacket.. For myself, I usually travel with a steel watch (Rolex, Tudor, Longines, VC)....

If something was to happen to it, I could easily forget about it without ruining my holiday and wasting time to report to the local police. I don't want to make myself an easy target for the criminals.

Nowadays I wear a watch which shows time and can easily go to the pool. This means Rolex or Tudor. In case I have an important dinner or something similar, I might take something nicer with me type platinum Patek. It was too close that my life ended last ...

practically my WT would fit the purpose to track multiply timezones but just didn t want to take the risk and the hassle having a gold watch with me with no WR,i brought a Daytona and i m happy with that choice. Basically i don t like the idea having more...

I leave them in the safe of the room of the hotel. I know it is not a 100% safe solution but I didn't find a safer one... Fx

...wear a $20 plastic Timex. And that includes San Francisco which is close to where I live. The only time I wear my Rolex is around my general neighborhood or when in Japan.

San Francisco has (for a long time it's been sliding downhill) become a hell-hole. We have had our parked cars broken into more than once. The police can't be bothered to do anything about it. There are junkies and beggars everywhere and the filth/needles... 

I have visited that city, but only for a few days...so can’t really tell. Although I’m guessing that in most big cities around the world one has to be a bit more on his toes. Enjoy Tokyo!

I travel to Japan, HK and Singapore regularly and for these trips I have no concern wearing a nice watch. In Europe and the US I may or may not adjust wristwear based on specific location, Seiko and Swatch being the ultimate backup should the destination ... 

Generally a Rolex 16570 or 214270, which are adequate in most settings, and tough enough to practice sports. Meaning I keep my watch on the wrist at all time and don't need to worry about the hotel safe.
