After 24 hours had passed

And reading so many mixed reactions and opinions
Yes, the design especially the dial layout may have been too simple and bare
As for the hour markers, some precious metal might do the trick rather than painted on patina..
What if, what if an enamel dial was used instead?
The white painted hour and minute hands, again, some precious metal (similar to the hour markers) would have been better
Initially 38mm was thought to be the right dimension but after seeing wrist shots, they appear rather small
You gotta be a Really Big Fan of Hodinkee to really buy and own this watch
I can’t see myself owning it with the name engraved on the rotor (no offense to them cos I do read their articles)
In terms of price point, at about USD10k we have many options
The movement used, I must say Blancpain has been generous
This 100 pieces might have been a win-win collaboration
The question is, whether the buyers who contributed to the Sell Out, if they are the real passionate watch / Blancpain FF collectors
From what I can gather, there might be flippers, opportunists, to cash in on the hype, and hopefully the situation does not worsen
It has been a marketing strategy employed jointly and hopefully, these 100 LE pieces withstand the test of time, like its predecessors instead of being discarded as being an experimental failure
On a more positive note, it might send the correct signal to the manufacturer to say hey, let’s focus on No Date, 40mm dimensions, and make FF series less boring, not too conventional, but we must retain the intrinsic value of how Fifty Fathoms had and has evolved..
Just my $0.02
Cheers
