And as most others I like JM for his passion of watch collecting, but his prediction is totally unpredictable.
No one knows what the next hype will be and how long the Daytona will be held as high as it is now. Also don’t forget JM also has a stainless steel ceramic Daytona so he can sit safe with the predictions . As I read your question I understand that you were interested in the future collectibility of this two references , so my answer is : I have no clue and can’t care less since by the time this becomes collectable I won’t be around anyway.
I f you ask me about likening this two , I like the yellow Gold version but I can’t pull it off , so I won’t spend my $ on a watch just to sit in the box .
I actually tried on the White Gold model recently and other than the weight it doesn’t sing to me , so I stay with my steel ceramic model.
Now if you ask me about the Platinum big boy then I’m all in ...
Best,
Zsolt.
