Definitely 36mm
I’ve long hesitated between 36 and 41 myself, and after trying multiple times on my 17,5cm wrist, I came to the conclusion that 36 mm was enough, especially with those very colorful dials.
Then I hesitated between red and turquoise. Got the red and after a few months I put myself on the waiting list for the turquoise 😜

I haven't seen these in the metal but my overall feeling about the non-sport models is that they appear too bulbous over 40mm, where the narrowness of the lugs and the dial size simply don't incorporate very well. So unless you have huge wrists, 36mm gets...

My first choice would be 36MM yellow,

Well I was convinced one way until I had an opportunity to handle several versions side by side. What struck me was I leaned towards different sizes depending on color of the dial…
Here is an idea: The brighter the dial (or metal), the more a 36mm works versus a 40+mm.
Just my rule. I like the yellow 36mm over the red 36mm.

To me it’s a little less loud (I know, that might be a strange opinion). Also, with these colours I do think the smaller case is also more subtle.

I suppose it comes down to the purpose of the watch… 36 is subtle yet 41 playful
Because that would make it less complicated
And life is not meant to be simple… if they were 38 we would have to find other trivia matters to dwell upon…
